Timbre Rock and Roots Music Festival

Timbre Rock and Roots is not just about the best international bands playing in Singapore but as well as the possibility of having Singapore’s best bands play at Bluefest in the future. The festival is aiming to become an annual festival and eventually be an iconic occurrence on the live music calendar in Singapore. This year the event will happen on the evenings of March 30 and 31.

In 2004 Danny Loong and his former band Ublues performed at Bluefest. Ublues Band was the first ever band from Asia to perform at the festival. Since then Danny and Peter (the director of Bluefest) kept in touch and the idea of organizing a festival in Singapore was proposed.  This eventually became a possibility in 2008 and the partners spent the next two years creating Timbre Rock and Roots.

Now the festival is in its’ third year and is starting to show signs of a great line-up. On March 30 the gates open at 6 pm with a current schedule of The Specials, Buddy Guy and Keb Mo with more artists to be announced. On March 31 the gates open at 5:30 pm with a current schedule of Earth, Wind & Fire, Trombome Shorty & Orleans Avenue with more artists to be announced.  To buy your tickets visit the site below, it is for sure to be a good show.
